x11 – Friday Party
After their date, Stephanie and Micky had been spending a lot of time together that week. Around Wednesday, Micky had mentioned that one of his friends was going to have a party and that him and Stephanie were invited. He also mentioned that if they didn’t go, his friend would be mad, so Stephanie felt like she had to go with him. The only reason she didn’t want to go was because it was kind of far from the SM dormitory and she didn’t want to get in trouble. All of the SM crew was allowed to go out every once in a while but they weren’t really supposed to go too far from Seoul.
“Are you sure its going to be okay?” She asked him from her bathroom door as she got ready?
Micky sat on her bed, fiddling with something on her computer.
“Yes I’m sure! Just get ready so we can go!” He said.
Stephanie finished getting ready and walked out. Micky’s friend owned a club and that is where the party would be, so she wore a blue tube top with a black mini-skirt and some heels.
“You keep getting new clothes” Micky said, laughing a little bit.
“Well, I have to look good” She explained, tapping her foot on the ground, trying to get her shoe to feel more comfortable.
As they were walking out, Dana spotted them and walked over.
“Where are you two love birds going?” She questioned, smiling at Stephanie
“We’re going to a p—“ Stephanie said, but Micky cut her off.
“We’re going to go eat a nice dinner together.” He said, a semi-fake smile spreading across his face.
“Oh! Well, have fun!” Dana said
When they got outside, Micky looked at Stephanie.
“I told you not to tell anyone. If they find out, someone is bound to tell on us and then we’ll both get in trouble.”
“So we’re sneaking out?” Stephanie asked.
“…I guess, yeah.” Micky said as he waved down a cab.
Stephanie kind of glared at him as he walked ahead to open the door. She didn’t feel comfortable sneaking out just to go to a party, but she didn’t think Micky would do anything to get her in that much trouble so she just followed what he said.
After about 30 minutes in the cab, they arrived at their destination. There was a long line outside the club, but when Micky walked up to the bouncer, they were let right in. One of the waiters showed them the way to the back of the bar and when they got there, they were greeted by Micky’s friend.
“Hey man!” His friend said as they bro hugged and sat down. The man looked at Stephanie.
“Who is this fine piece of meat you brought with you?” He said, smiling and showing his slightly yellow teeth.
Stephanie looked at him in disgust. She didn’t take kindly to being called a piece of meat.
“This is my girlfriend, Stephanie.” Micky said, introducing them to each other.
Stephanie waved, muttering a greeting.
They sat there for a little while chatting. While Micky and his friend sat there and drank, Stephanie tried mingling with some of the other girls that were back in their corner. All of them seemed to be a bit on the trashy side and were completely infatuated with Micky’s friend. Stephanie couldn’t see why, but she figured he probably had a lot of money or something.
After about 3 hours of not really enjoying herself, Stephanie pulled out her phone to check the time. It was 1:30 AM.
“The busses stop running at 2 AM.” She thought to herself. They took a cab here, but neither of them had enough cash on them to pay for another one on the way back. As she was sliding her phone back into her purse, it vibrated.
Sender: Kibum
Hey. I went to your room to hang out, but you weren’t there. Where are you?
Stephanie smiled a bit and started pushing the buttons on her phone.
Micky invited me to some party his friend is throwing. I thought it would be fun, but its definitely not. I’m ready to go. I’m going to get him to leave…we should be back in about an hour or so.
After she had confirmed that the message sent, she tugged on Micky’s arm. He looked at her, his eyes droopy a bit.
“Hey, we need to get going. The busses are going to stop running soon.” She said to him.
“Awright……jus….gimme a couble mor’ minute…” he said, clearly intoxicated.
Stephanie sighed and waited as Micky finished up his conversation. As they left, they said their goodbyes and walked out of the club. The closest bus stop was a couple blocks away and Stephanie was hoping they could make it before the final bus left.
Micky was stumbling alongside her so she put her arm under his and guided him, trying to quicken their pace. When they reached the stop, Stephanie set Micky down on the bench and checked her phone. It was 2:15AM. They were late. She sighed and sat down next to him.
“Don…worry. There’s a hotel righhhhover there.” He said, pointing to a flashing light.
Stephanie glanced at it and figured that they didn’t have much of a choice, so she helped Micky up again and started walking over to the hotel.
